The Graphic Design and Advertising industries are exploding. It is the core of the information technology revolution. The Visual Design Studio 4 (VDS4) provides students with vital professional design experience. Student interns work in a team environment under the direction of graphic design faculty to produce professional quality products for university and professional clients. The primary objectives of VDS4 include education, outreach, research, and exhibitions. Our education activities provide students with professional experiences rarely available to undergraduates. VDS4 does design work for the community through outreach as well as the university. VDS4 research projects take shape in the form of grants and projects with industry and the greater design community. Exhibition of alumni work and student designs is also part of the VDS4 mission. Professor Meg Nugent is the acting Director for VDS4. VDS4 also incorporates the assistance of three VCD faculty associate creative directors.
